Sitting right on the banks of the River Frome, The Old Granary makes for a perfect home away from home. The pub is part of the family of Hall & Woodhouse, a local brewer located just up the road in Blandford – who have been serving guests for over 240 years in pubs across the South of England.

Located on the quayside in the heart of the Dorset market town of Wareham – the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck – The Old Granary is a short distance from popular local attractions Corfe Castle, Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World. We’re also within easy reach of Poole, Swanage and the surrounding Dorset countryside.

Looking for days out and family fun while in Wareham? We’re sure you won’t be disappointed. From bears, bikes and boats to castles, cows and capuchins – there really is something to keep every age entertained!

There are so many activities to choose from, you are spoiled for choice. Why not hire a bike and cycle through Rempstone Forest, have a go at kayaking and paddle-boarding on the River Frome or go horse riding through the countryside?

Wareham is the start of many of our walking and cycling routes – take a riverside stroll, cycle over hill tops or hike through heathland. We are also located a short drive from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
